I love all types of geometric patterns and I REALLY love yellow and gray. I am constantly trying to think of ways to add both elements to any of my rooms designs. So when I saw these rugs from The Rug Company, I gasped with glee! There is just something so chic yet modern about this rug. It can go in a more 'girly' space to give color and texture. Any way that you look at this rug, it rocks!! Now, how do we get that price tag lowered?

Project Pretty House: Vintage Tins and Jars

I'm having antique shopping withdrawals at the moment, so finding these great vintage tins and jars on Etsy today was a real treat! They're from a quaint little shop called Ethanollie and they'd all look fabulous in my house. I might even use some of those tins to make these cute magnetic organizers when I get back from vacation. Bright blue and acid yellow look great together, don't you think? Ooh, I wonder if I'll find any antiques in New Zealand? Oh, gosh I sure hope so!!

Project Pretty House: Decoupage Hearts

Remember decoupage, darlings? I do. But gee whiz, mine never looked this good! Give the gift of good company to those long-forgotten treasures in your china cabinet with these heart-shaped decoupage plates by John Derian. With a ridiculously extensive range of equally fabulous platters, coasters, paperweights and other weird and wonderful wares, it's terribly hard to choose a favourite. Why, they are all just so gorgeous! Who would have thought this little wallflower of a craft technique could look so very delightful?

Project Pretty House: Oh-so Cute Cabin 7

Ooh, pick me, pick me! I have a home for these gilded birch cardholders and wooden letter blocks. Freshly picked from Cabin 7, a brand new shop created by two besties who met at summer camp. That's where the cute biz name comes from - their cabin! I'm really digging these photos. They're just so gosh darn pretty. And is that a Liberty print I spy? Lovely styling ladies, just lovely!

Project Pretty House: Loving and Twist

Oh, just look at what I found! These gorgeous Loving and Twist cups would fit right in at Mrs. Willow's house, I think. I especially like the ingenious little cup at the bottom left, which is designed to protect the drinker from the dreaded cappuccino moustache - cute! They're all bone china and lovingly handmade by Miss Maria Lintott.

Project Pretty House: It's Cute O'Clock

Although we moved into our new house almost two years ago, I have to confess, the walls are still sans decor. I've made grand plans for frames, picture boxes, murals and wallpaper... but just can't seem to find the time. However, these gorgeous wall clocks by DecoyLab might be just the thing! I love the animal characters and cheerful colours. It's such a chirpy way to keep time.

Project Pretty House: Sunshine in a Cup

I'm thinking of adding some splashes of soft, cheerful yellow to my pretty house before winter arrives. And I say, I quite fancy these little beauties! They're from the wonderful Welsh studio of Lowri Davies who has completely won me over with her cheeky birds and botanical scribbles. I like the watercolour feel and her distinct slip cast style. Oh, they'd be right at home in my china collection.

Have you ever had the feeling that an idea is following you? You begin to daydream about something - a colour, a theme - and then it just pops up everywhere? Well, this week, I just can't get these charming teapots and saucers and sugar bowls out of my head! It seems like everywhere I go, I see Nina's bright confetti-coloured bunting and sweet china blue birdies peeking out at me as if to say, "Hello Nancy, take us home!".

With eyes wide and hands clasped together in utter delight, I'm sharing these gorgeous hand-painted beauties from Donna Wilson. I've been searching far and wide for an original pair of 19th Century Staffordshire Dogs for quite some time, but I dare say, I rather prefer these contemporary ones. Look at their exquisite collars of lavender and gold! And their adorable little expressions; each one is unique! Love. Love. LOVE!

Dear readers, I have a confession to make. I am a touch obsessed with ruffles and soft-furnishings... and teacups, but that's another story! And so, it won't come as a surprise that I desperately want some of these gorgeous "bathing beauties" cushions from Tulu Textiles - perhaps one for my reading chair or, let's face it, half a dozen for my bed! How smashing is that bright rust red?!

I would like to share with you a wonderful new Australian designer, Have you met Miss Jones, who I recently discovered on a shopping expedition in crafty Northcote. Originally specializing in bone china, Miss Jones has expanded to include clay pottery, capiz shell, wood and metal. I especially love the beautiful styling in these photographs and the fantastic colour scheme of pistachio and chartreuse - reminds me of seventies kitchens! I recently bought a beautiful bone china canary on a branch for my entranceway, but I might also need a set of those cute button plates...
